“EPS4 goes live at Penny’s Hill Practice on 10th March 2020. If your prescriptions are already sent electronically to a nominated pharmacy then there is minimal change. If you do not have a nominated pharmacy, your prescription will be sent electronically to the NHS Spine and a pharmacy of your choice will then retrieve your prescription when you go to collect this by advising them of your NHS number. If you do not know your NHS number, ask your doctor when they are issuing you your prescription. Prescription tokens are also sometimes generated, however you can still get your prescription without these. If you do not currently have a nominated pharmacy but would like to nominate one, please speak to reception.”

Wuhan Novel Coronaviris (WN-CoV)

Do you have ANY illness symptoms, a cough, sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, temperatures, sickness or shortness of breath (however mild)?

In the 14 days before your symptoms started, did you travel to or from WUHAN, HUBEU PROVINCE, CHINA, HONG KONG,JAPAN, MACAU,MAYALSIA,KOREA,SINGAPORE,TAIWAN OR THAILAND.

OR

Have you had contact with a confirmed case of Novel Coronavirus

If the answer to EITHER of these questions is yes,

PLEASE GO HOME IMMEDIATELY AND DO NOT ENTRE THE SURGERY.PLEASE RING NHS 111 WHERE YOU WILL BE CLINICALLY ASSESSED VIA PHONE.

All Travellers from Wuhan and Hubei province should self-isolate for 14 days even in the absence of symptoms.

The latest guidance from Public Health England asks us to close any facilities that may have been used by patients who might be infected until further notice. Please help us keep the surgery open by ensuring that you do not attend if you have been in contact with someone with this virus or have travelled to or from the affected area and have any respiratory illness symptoms, such as cough, sore throat, cold, flu symptoms or shortness of breath. Please do not attend the surgery if you are concerned you may have novel coronavirus.

Anyone who has had contact with a confirmed case in the last 14 days should be reported to the local Health Protection Team.

This is an evolving situation and information will be updated regularly.

Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family test (FFT) is an important opportunity for you to provide feedback on the care and treatment you receive and to improve services. Please click the Friend & Family test on the menu to complete this survey.

The Practice has now installed SMS Text Messaging software  to improve communication with our patients. Patients who have provided us with their mobile phone number will now receive a text message direct to their mobile in order to remind them should they have an appointment booked to see a Doctor/Nurse.

   

We are also entering patients email addresses onto the system in readiness for offering patients the option of ordering Repeat Prescriptions via email in the future if they so wish.

 

By implementing the above options we hope to reduce our use of paper, thus becoming a more environmentally friendly practice.

Under 16's please note 

Our appointment messaging system is now in place.  We hope to use this to keep you informed of any upcoming campaigns and for advice too. 

Please be aware on giving your mobile phone number for other members of your family, our system will generate a text message reminder for all sharing members.

On your child reaching the age of 16 years you need to provide us with an alternative number.  Your child is now considered an adult and they must provide their own contact number.
