Penny's Hill Practice together with our Volunteer group are organising the below activities which our patients might find interesting and useful:-

If you would like to get involved, please pick up a leaflet at the Volunteers desk in reception.

Please be aware the GP practices have been advised not to sign 'Lasting Power of Attorneys'

FIREARMS LICENSING - The GP's at Penny's Hill Practice are unable to assess patients for firearms certificates due to conscientious objections. They are aware of their responsibilities and obligations under GMC guidance on conscientious objection.

Aged 70 years? and anyone older but born after 1st September 1942, who has missed the vaccine.

Aged 78 Years? and anyone 78 or 79 who has missed the vaccine, should have it before their 80th Birthday!

Flu vaccination is recommended for the following patients/conditions:

  • Over 65
  • Chronic Asthma/COPD/Bronchitis (+ on certain medication)
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Kidney disease stages 3/4/5
  • Chronic Neurological disease
  • Liver disease
  • Stroke or transient ischaemic attack
  • Weakened immune system due to disease or treatment
  • Learning Disability
  • Splenic dysfunction
  • Pregnant
  • Registered carer
  • People living in long stay residential care homes
  • If advised by your GP or consultant
  • BMI over 40
